CAPTURE OF THE CHURCH
Part 1 - by P.K. Odendaal - March 2019.
Capturing is
one of the oldest of human pastimes, and the Church, being the oldest
institution, suffers most from this. We humans seem to relish capturing or
usurping anything and everything from animals to humans to power to countries with
coercion, exertion, pain, violence, death and deception.
I will try to
formulate a few tell tale signs and litmus tests whereby we can judge whether our
Church has been captured or not.
As a start I
wish to save you time by saying for whom this series of articles are written.
If you add up the number of times you visited church, read your bible, prayed
or talked to the Triune God in the last thirty days and it is less than ten,
then this is not written for you. It would not bother you whether the Church is
captured or not. The fact of the matter is that you are captured by one or more
of the following: worldliness, sin, bondage, carelessness, ignorance and
delusion and you would not notice whether any Church is captured or not. Sorry.
There are
ways out for you. Start doing the biblical and religious thing I enumerated
above and with time your heart will soften so that the Holy Spirit can enter into
and change your life for your good and for good.
These religious
things I stated above is only an indication whether you are captured or whether
you are a dedicated Christian, and it does not give Christians in any way bragging
rights of impending Heaven or a ticket to Heaven. It serves to enable you and
me to judge ourselves whether we are captured or not.
Every Church
goes through seven stages, if they ever get that far, from inception to
deception to child sacrifice, and they are quite easy to recognise. I only talk
of Christian Churches here, as my experience over seventy years has mainly been
with Reformist Christian Churches, and they have, since the year 1517, been
subject to reformation, disinformation, misinformation and adulteration. That
is why there are now 38000 denominations in that Church.
Contrary to
the Reformists, the Catholic Church has only been through one big schism, which
was the Reformation. In all these supressed schisms of the Catholic Church, the
offending parties have been either slaughtered, martyred, burned, exterminated
or sent directly to Hell by excommunication. The Reformation progeny got off
lightly as they acted in masses and the Catholic Church, operating as corporate
thugs, was in turmoil sorting out the fall of their Church in the Council of
Trent which took them decades and landed them in opulent shame in the Barogue
era even further away from God. This was prophesied in Revelations as the wounding
of the Beast and its healing: And I saw one of his heads as it were
wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered
after the beast.
In all of
this you must realise that any Church at any stage of decadence can be
regenerated and reformed by the Grace of God, as long as there are a few divine
and holy people who can call unto God to deliver them from evil and decadence.
Phase One - The Spiritual Church - God is everywhere and in everyone.
Revelation 2:2-3: I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
A church starts off with some divine revelation or reformer and the name for that movement I call the Spiritual and Basic Christian Values Revival. All that are preached in those Churches are God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit and the Bible. Those four are the necessary and sufficient conditions for a spiritual church. If your Church is like that, praise God, rejoice and join in the effort to sustain and develop that. That is Heaven indeed. One of the greatest of these were the Revival in Indonesia, but it mostly starts small, even in house prayer meetings. People grow spiritually, shun worldly things, share most things and pray for each other.
I have been
there and I have done that and I have learned from that and I have enjoyed
that.
In this phase
the evil and unholy cannot infiltrate the church because the divine and holy
can discern those individuals and can guard the presence of the Holy Spirit
jealously. However, after a time the things of the flesh seeps in and the
congregation does not guard jealously anymore.
This is not
new, as it happened in Paradise. God put Adam and Eve into the Garden of Eden
to dress it and to keep it, and then suddenly one day they find the serpent has
sneaked in while they were not looking. And so we also need to dress and to
keep that congregation, lest the serpent should sail in unnoticed.
We get to
become complacent and lose our vigilance and one day suddenly notice a church
member, or even one from outside, who sailed into the benches or pulpit without
anybody noticing, almost too late.
As a side
note it can be said that Satan worshippers sneak into the church gatherings on
purpose to spy, distract and sow discord. It is a standard thing for spies to
infiltrate gangs or mobs and vice versa. Do not let it surprise you, but be
vigilant.
In history
this phase never lasted for more than seventy years, unless some major
transformation to basic values happened before then.
One thing
which we should note from this phase is that there is no money or abuse of
such. Mammon, Jesse du Plantis, Kenneth Copeland or such others have not
entered the fray yet. All is at peace and the Church grows.
