One of my anonymous readers sent me a link of A Tale of Three Kings - A study in Brokenness by Gene Edwards.
I link it into this article for all to read and I hope you receive the lessons and blessings to be learned from it, as I have.
The story is of King Saul and King David and how King Saul was anointed with the Authority of God and David was anointed with the brokenness of Christ.
The first became a mad and evil king and the second became a broken king.
Ultimately Saul was rejected by God and killed himself in battle whilst David's throne became an everlasting throne.
The third king he refers to was Absalom, but for me it did not have to feature in an otherwise excellent piece. It is like snow white appearing in Little Red Riding Hood.
